Effective Date: 2025-04-01
These Payment Terms apply specifically to transactions conducted through the UniPayment cashier page (the "Cashier") when you purchase digital assets (e.g., USDC/EURC) using a credit/debit card. By proceeding with a transaction, you agree to be bound by these terms in addition to UniPayment's general Terms & Conditions.
1. Nature of the Transaction
This is a crypto on-ramp transaction. The amount charged to your card will be used solely to purchase digital assets. It is not a payment for goods or services.
2. Predefined Merchant Wallet
Digital assets purchased will be irrevocably transferred to a wallet predefined by the merchant and included in the associated invoice. You acknowledge that this wallet address cannot be modified by you during the transaction process.
3. Irreversibility
Once the transaction is successfully settled, the cryptocurrency will be transferred on-chain. This transfer is final, irreversible, and non-refundable. You waive any right to request refunds, chargebacks, or reversals based on dissatisfaction with the merchant or use of funds.
4. Cardholder Authorization
By proceeding, you confirm you are the lawful holder of the payment card used. You authorize UniPayment to charge your card for the total amount shown and facilitate the crypto purchase and transfer accordingly.
5. Currency and Exchange Rate
The amount displayed on the Pay button is denominated in EUR or USD. If your card is issued in a different currency, your bank may apply its own exchange rate and fees. This may result in a difference between the displayed and charged amount.
6. KYC/AML Verification
You confirm that your identity has been verified by the merchant in accordance with applicable KYC/AML requirements. UniPayment does not perform end-user KYC but relies on merchant verification for compliance. However, UniPayment reserves the right to conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) or suspend transactions based on its own risk assessments and AML monitoring obligations.
7. Disclaimer of Liability
UniPayment acts solely as a payment intermediary and digital asset converter. It does not control, monitor, or guarantee the use of funds by the merchant. You are responsible for confirming the merchant’s legitimacy before proceeding with the payment.
8. Fraud Prevention and Data Use
Your personal data will be processed for transaction execution, AML compliance, and fraud prevention, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Dispute Resolution
All disputes related to merchant behavior, products, services, or post-payment use of funds must be directed to the merchant. UniPayment bears no responsibility for resolving merchant-related issues.
10. Legal Compliance Notice
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of UniPayment’s services complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. UniPayment does not solicit, advertise, or provide services in any country where the purchase of digital assets is restricted or prohibited. If you are located in such a jurisdiction, you must not proceed with this transaction. UniPayment disclaims any liability arising from the user’s failure to comply with local laws. You are encouraged to seek independent legal advice if you are uncertain about the regulatory status of digital assets in your region.
