Payment Terms (VIBAN)

These Payment Terms – Virtual IBAN Top-Up (the “Payment Terms”) govern card-funded top-up transactions initiated by an end user (“Payer”, “you”) through UniPayment’s checkout interface for the purpose of funding a payment account identified by a virtual IBAN (“Virtual IBAN”).

These Payment Terms apply solely to the card top-up transaction and form an integral part of the applicable Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.

2.1 By completing a card payment under these Payment Terms, you instruct your card issuer to authorize a top-up of funds to a payment account identified by a Virtual IBAN.

2.2 The transaction constitutes a payment account funding (top-up) and does not constitute the purchase, sale, exchange, or transfer of any crypto-assets, digital assets, or virtual currencies.

2.3 UniPayment acts as a payment service intermediary and does not provide banking or electronic money services. The payment account associated with the Virtual IBAN is provided by UniPayment’s partner electronic money institution(s) in accordance with their applicable terms.

3.2 Any subsequent transfer, payout, or use of funds credited to the Virtual IBAN is performed separately, based on instructions provided by the account holder or merchant, and is not part of the card payment transaction governed by these Payment Terms.

4.1 The amount to be topped up, applicable fees, and the total transaction amount will be clearly displayed to you prior to confirming the payment.

4.2 You acknowledge that card issuers or payment service providers may apply additional fees or charges in accordance with their own terms, for which UniPayment bears no responsibility.

5.1 By confirming the payment, you authorize the card payment and acknowledge that once authorized and successfully processed, the top-up transaction cannot be revoked or cancelled.

5.2 This does not affect any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection or card scheme chargeback rules, as applicable.

6.1 Any disputes related to the card payment, including chargebacks, must be raised with your card issuer in accordance with the card scheme rules.

6.2 You acknowledge that the subject of the card transaction is the top-up of a payment account, and not the delivery of goods or services by a merchant.

6.3 UniPayment may provide transaction information to the acquiring bank or card schemes for the purposes of dispute resolution and compliance.

7.1 You must not use the card top-up functionality for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws, regulations, or card scheme rules.

7.2 UniPayment reserves the right to suspend or decline a transaction where required by law, regulatory obligations, or risk and fraud prevention measures.

8.1 UniPayment shall not be liable for any losses arising from:

9.1 Personal data processed in connection with the card top-up transaction is handled in accordance with UniPayment’s Privacy Notice.

9.2 Transaction data may be shared with payment service providers, acquiring banks, card schemes, and electronic money institutions for the purposes of payment processing, compliance, and fraud prevention.

10.1 UniPayment may update these Payment Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of the transaction shall apply to that transaction.

11.1 These Payment Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws specified in the applicable UniPayment Terms of Service.
